“The health ministry has taken action against three officials of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) who had supported last month’s protests against the government’s move to increase caste-based quotas in higher educational institutions…

AIIMS sub-dean Neerja Bhatla has been removed from the post…Public relations officer Arti Viz stands divested of her charge…In the case of senior financial officer Mayank Sharma, his deputation has come to and end, according to separate memorandums signed by D.S. Moorthy, the officer on special duty to Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss.

AIIMS sources said the ministry was contemplating to remove the institute’s director P.Venugopal,too.                                                                                                                                                                                            

Resident doctors and students of AIIMS Thursday started a signature campaign against the health minister a day after he said those who had participated in the last month’s protests would not get any salary for the strike period of 17 days.”

Comment: What happened to the democracy of India? When the majority of public is against the reservation quotas…then what’s the advantage of applying them?? Politics is overruling the democracy…misfortunate for the country!!!

It was first day of technosearch….our techfest….it was inaugurated with the boring lectures of deans and announcement of so called student friendly rule which is to be applied 4m next sem and not at all friendly…. well, the rule is the ban of two-wheelers in campus….and yeah thr was a gud news tht this time technosearch has become an international event with the participation of students 4m University of Malaysia….

Then we  started doing arrangements for GRIP….robotics competetion….power-boats were supposed to follow a given track in a well….i reached late thr coz of my song practice….so cud see only last 3-4 boats sailing(one of them sank instead)…..some boats turned in a different direction and then cud never come back….well everything has its brighter side too….so were our bright performers who completed the track smoothly and fast….and won the prizes!!!!

The evening was third eve of maffick…thr were song and dance competetions….two groups  frm other colleges also participated….the whole show was rocking….esp madley with alternate old sweet luv songs and new arguemental songs like ude jab-jab julfen…and sochti hain jyada(hum-tum)…..

We enjoyed dancing all over the function…..about today's singers….they all were brilliant esp mayi ri and roo-ba-roo….and the rocking deewane….i bet they can be next indian idol….thts why MANIT rocks !!!!!!!!!

MAFFICK is cultural fest of MANIT….at maffick, we maffick..thts why it's named maffick ….today, events were dramatics (drama-competetion) paridhan (fashion show)…. first drama was really boring…so as usual, we enjoyed the time by hooting….

Well,the second one was INCREDIBLE!! actors were all from our class, 3rd yr electro…script and characters was inspired by RDB…the project for which sue came at MANIT was data structures project…she met sonia…and then her frnds (all, atudents of MANIT)…but they  were not confident for they can do it…so refused to take it up…sue then submitted the report to higher officials…then they heard FM radio, announcing….MANIT should not be given the title of NIT…they became furious….and started planning to kill them…then ajay motivated them to take the project as a challenge…they studied hard and got the project…the channel took its statement back…and they also got admission in some reputed university abroad…

They danced too with the beats of RDB's tunes…masti ki pathshala, khalbali and roo-ba-roo as the story demanded… whole drama was awesome…script, acting, dance, direction, costumes ..everything was fabulous…ppl didnt get bored even 4 a second….instead they were so interested in watching it tht they 4got to hoot…and we electro ppl enjoyed the most coz it included some of our rocking dialogues like…fodu, baap (as we call ankit..who was playing the role of aslam), name of our GT breaker and many more….

Other were humorous but with weak script…some others were intollerable too…so we enjoyed hooting….

Then started paridhan…three themes were given…traditional, formals, casuals….all style icons of MANIT were rocking!!!!!!!!!
